The Chest Press Machine exercises the pectoralis major, the pectoralis minor, the anterior fibers of the deltoid, and the triceps brachii muscle (the back of the upper arm).
This machine is an excellent choice when you don't have a spotter and want to go heavy, or for the beginner wanting to perfect their form.
I often use this machine to help squeeze out a few extra sets to make sure I’ve fully exhausted my chest muscles, without having to worry about the specific form techniques necessary with the free-weight bench press.
The machine can also be helpful if you can't perform the body weight push-ups that may be required for a fitness evaluation. ~ Mike
